KINGFISHER CAME TO ANADARKO with a passion to win.  They have two very good teams.  Their boys won easily a Kingfisher the week before, so Anadarko had a reason to put on their best game.  Pictured is play on the basket by or boys team.  These pictures will be random because  I named them wrong.  But I am displaying several pictures of each game.

A GOOD PICTURE OF our girls fighting for the ball.  Believe me, Kingfisher has a good ball team. Their girls are tall and aggressive.  The score was closer at Anadarko than Kingfisher.  Anadarko surprised Kingisher at Kingfisher, but Kingfisher came to win and, on a last second shot, Kingfisher was able to bring the score within 5, something like 42 to 47.

One of our smallest girls battles for the ball against a much larger KIngfisher opponent. Our girls are not afraid to take a charge or to charge if need-be.

ANADARKO WARRIORS had reason to want to play Kingfisher at home.  The Warriors were thumped at Kingfisher by  very good Kingfisher club.  "Well coached," if you listen to Anadarko's coach.  The Anadarko came out and struggled at first and pulled away to win with a double digit difference.

See if you can spot the ball. Strange shots one can get at an Anadarko Warrior BB Game.

Take the ball in for a score.  Anadarko's most consistent boy's player is Jacob Bohay.  He will be wearing glasses, when you spot him.

Lady Warrior pict.  The Kingfisher girls were a better match this time than the first meeting in Kingfisher.  We saw some of the Kingfisher fans before the game and they are impressive.

Going up after the ball.  Take a close look and you can tell it is a picture of the Lady Warriors.

Girls Win MIDFIRST Tornament with a big win over number 1, Cache.
The Darko Warriors girls beat the number one state rated Cache Bulldogs in the finals of the Midfirst Tournament.  Darko had been beaten by the Bulldogs ealier, at Cache, by one point, but in the last few moments, ran away with the game in the tournament.  Pictured is the Warrior's team accepting the number one trophy.

Anadarko Warrior Men beat Duncan for 3rd place in the Midfirst Tournament.

Warriors win third in a tough bracket. Warriors lost to height gifted Star Spancer which put them in the third game, where the beat Duncan by shooting their lights out.  Pictured is the boys' team accepting the 3rd place trophy, with Charlie cheering them on.

Kingfisher girls lose while Kingfisher boys beat the Warriors.  No pictures on this one, but the boys team simply didn't play up to their potential. The game was at Kingfisher.

Anadarko Men beat the Taller, Duncan Demons in an overtime win. Duncan men have a good team, there is no doubt, but the Anadarko boys out-lasted them in a tough game from the beginning to the finish.   The Anadarko Warriors were able to fight off a fierce challenge to win by one point.  Marcella is always extra excited when a  game goes into over-time.

Anadarko blows by Duncan girls in a battle between State Classes. The final score was like, 73 to 12.  The Demons had height advantage, but the Lady Warriors out paced the Duncan girls, easily crushing whatever enthusiasm the Duncanettes had. Pictured below is a shot of the girls in the heat of the battle.
The Lady Warriors beat Duncan in all aspects of the game, including field goal percentage, 3 pointers, points off of turnovers, etc. Just because the girls have a short team, doesn't mean they don't have a chance, this year, to win state.

Girl's Tournament Game - Purcell

I almost got ran over by these two girls who were chasing the layup. If you can read the score, it was, like 34 to 5, Anadarko. The Anadarko Warriors who are much shorter for boys and girls both played Purcell. The girls won 84-12 while the boys won, going away, by 49 to 29. The girls were way ahead so they were able to play all of their players during the game. The boys had two new players receive play time.
